An ETL infrared heater is a compact, safe, and effective way to heat up a room. The device can be mounted to the wall or ceiling. It has an adjustable thermostat that allows you to choose the heat output you need.
One of the features of this heater is the tip-over safety switch. This feature automatically shuts the heater off when it tips over. There are also multiple brightness settings and a remote control.
Some of these models have an ECO mode, which reduces wattage from the standard 1,500 watts to 750 watts. This enables the user to save up to 40% on running costs.

Infrared units are ideal for garages and greenhouses. These units do not waste energy or produce unwanted airflow.
They can also be used as secondary heating units in a room. They are not as efficient in drafty spaces, though. Also, they are not recommended for use in rooms with vaulted ceilings.
When selecting an infrared heater, look for the highest radiant efficiency. This means the heating element should have a positive temperature coefficient. You'll also want to find a UL or ETL safety certificate.
