Tower induction heater towers are designed to heat bearings that are interference fit with the shaft. The heating causes the bearings to expand and no mechanical installation force is required during installation.
When the temperature difference between the bearing and the shaft reaches 90°C, the amount of expansion required for the installation is sufficient. When the ambient temperature is 20°C, the bearing also needs to be heated to 110°C.
